Background

Donna C. Watson is a 1994 graduate of Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University – Chicago School of Law in 2001. Donna is a licensed attorney in Illinois, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas. Donna has over 12 years of experience in tax compliance and tax consulting. In 2004, Donna expanded her skill set into the areas of probate and estate planning.

She is currently a Relationship & Trust Officer with Chinquapin Trust Company, in Kansas City, Missouri. In her role as a Trust Administrator, she oversees the day-to-day administration and operation of various trusts, estates, charitable entities, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), and investment management accounts.

In 2017, Donna opened The Legacy Experience, LLC, a consulting firm that provides estate planning resources to the community. Donna counsels individuals to participate in estate planning regardless of income or wealth.

Donna serves as a First-Year Director for the Estate Planning Society of Kansas City, Board Member and Treasurer of St. Teresa’s Academy, Kansas City, Missouri, and Supervisory Board Member of Holy Rosary Credit Union, Kansas City, Missouri. Her civic memberships include membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Mu Omega Chapter, and The Links Incorporated, Greater Kansas City (MO) Chapter. Donna is an active member of St. James United Methodist Church, Kansas City, Missouri.
